The Engineering Committee is an Advisory Committee formed by the Board of Directors of SOCWA and comprised of Member Agency Technical Staff to coordinate, advise and oversee all engineering and technical matters, with the support of SOCWA Staff.

The Engineering Committee shall have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Annually review Authority’s Fiscal Year Capital Budgets and recommend same for approval by the Board of Directors, as appropriate.
• Assist SOCWA Staff in development, review, analysis and planning of Technical, Engineering and Capital Projects of the Authority, including Long-Term Capital Project Planning.
• Other duties as delegated by the Board of Directors.

The Engineering Committee meet on the second Thursday of every month at 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise re-scheduled and properly noticed.  Members of the public interested in attending Engineering Committee meetings should check the listing of agendas to be sure of meeting location, time and date. The meetings shall be held at the SOCWA Administrative Office located at 34156 Del Obispo Street, Dana Point, California 92629.
