SOCWA Business Center
ten year plan

The Ten Year Capital Improvements Program (TYP) is a financial planning tool developed by SOCWA staff and reviewed by the Engineering Committee. TYP is updated every one to two years and identifies the capital projects for SOCWA facilities and project committees.  Projects are not approved until the SOCWA Board of Directors adopts the annual budget for the given year.

On April 1, 2010, the SOCWA Board of Directors adopted the 2010 Ten Year Plan, which presents the current estimate of expenses and capital projects necessary to accommodate growth, meet government standards, and to rehabilitate facilities as they age.

There are seven defined facilities in SOCWA’s TYP:

    • J.B. Latham Treatment Plant
    • Plant 3A
    • San Juan Creek Ocean Outfall
    • Coastal Treatment Plant
    • Regional Treatment Plant
    • Effluent Transmission Main
    • Aliso Creek Ocean Outfall
