Welcome to SOCWA
Community Outreach
SOCWA is active in its local communities to help inform residents about the importance and proper use of the sanitary sewer system. Through education and outreach, we can all work together to keep our beaches and communities clean.

Open House Events
SOCWA occasionally opens its doors and invites neighbors, community groups and any other members of the public to open house events. The events offer the public the opportunity to learn more about SOCWA, take a guided tour of a treatment facility and meet staff members.

Tours and Talks
Whether you are a Boy Scout group leader, an interested member of the community or a teacher, SOCWA’s facilities and staff members are available to answer your questions. You can arrange for a tour of a SOCWA facility, or SOCWA staff members can come out to talk to your group.

Doheny Interpretive Center
SOCWA is a partner with the Doheny Interpretive Center, which coordinates beach clean-ups and provides educational tours to thousands of local students and visitors each year, highlighting the many steps SOCWA and other agencies take to protect the environment, and the harmful effects litter and wasteful watering practices have on the shoreline.
