Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the JB Latham Treatment Plant Facility Improvements Package B Final Design MND 

 The South Orange County Wastewater Authority (SOCWA) as the Lead Agency has prepared a Draft Initial Study and Mitigation Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the JB Latham Treatment Plant Facility Improvements Package B Final Design, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements. SOCWA proposes improvements to their JB Latham Treatment Plant (JBLTP), a conventional activated sludge, secondary treatment facility owned and operated by the SOCWA on behalf of the four member agencies (Moulton Niguel Water District, South Coast Water District, City of San Juan Capistrano, and Santa Margarita Water District). The 18 proposed improvements include equipment and structure repairs, equipment and structure replacements, new piping, safety-related modifications, and structural demolition. 

 The Draft IS/MND will be circulated for a 30-day review period, starting August 27, 2018. Written comments will be accepted by SOCWA until 5:00 p.m. on September 28, 2018. The Notice of Intent to Adopt a IS/MND and the Draft IS/MND are available for review at SOCWA at the address below and at www.socwa.com.  Comments may be submitted to Ms. Roni Young, SOCWA, 34156 Del Obispo Street, Dana Point, CA 92629 or at ryoung@socwa.com
